Sunday we left Arizona and will be on this campsite for the next week. Where? Well, today we were in the hot spot of the nation as the temperature reached 80 degrees. Yesterday we visited the Huntington Museum and Gardens and today the La Brea Tarpits, the farmer's Market and strolled down Rodeo drive before driving down Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles of course. Why?

Of course, the Rose Bowl. On Thursday David gets to sit in a sea of burnt orange, thanks to a generous gift from our son. Once a Longhorn always a Longhorn. Hook 'em Horns.

  1. Hook 'em, indeed (from a fellow Longhorn)! Looks like fun, plus you'll miss Austin's arctic blast predicted to start late tomorrow, during which it may get down to 20 or below three nights in a row, with highs only in the 30s. I love your trailer!

  2. Thanks Iris. The weather is wonderful here but I have been watching the Austin weather closely and am very worried for many of my plants. Surely the bluebonnets will survive, if nothing else.

  3. I wish the Longhorns luck in the upcoming big game, but the Rose Bowl on New Year's day was the big game around here! YAYYY BUCKS!

I just had to comment! lol

  4. Hook Em! Here's to a good game - everybody plays well and no injuries! Also to a Longhorn win, by gum!

Hope your plants are fine when you get back - I have a few things covered but three days of below freezing lows? Not sure what will come back this Spring after that sort of cold. Just when I thought the climate disruption was going to work in our favor, finally....

  5. Get your Horns up!!
We sold our tickets, and will be watching from here, with friends and family.
As for the weather, we've had so many mornings in the 20s, here in Wimberley, I'll probably just have to start over with my plants. It's been a hard first year for us here. First things burning up and drying up, and now they're freezing.
Oh well...the life of a gardener.
Have a great time out there, and.....
    HOOK 'EM HORNS!
