THEY LOVE IT

Yesterday was the first day that the butterflies seemed to be everywhere.

Swallowtails, monarchs and red admirals. They love the tall blooming spikes of Verbena bonariensis.

  1. Lovely - the red admirals have been in my yard going crazy over the neighbor's red tip photinia blooms.

I'm trying them for the first time this year. Hope mine turn out even half as beautiful as yours.

  8. I haven't seen that particular swallowtail with the orange and blue around my place. That's a beauty.

  9. Lucky you to have all those visitors! I haven't seen that particular verbena, but I have several other types and the butterflies seem to like them all!
