  1. It's awesome to go to see this web site and reading the views of all colleagues on the topic of this article, while I am also eager of getting knowledge.

  2. I love your garden so much. It's my top inspiration garden for my new home. Could you tell me if you have weed cloth under your pebbles and decomposed granite? I loved one of older posts about volunteers popping up and was wondering if they grow over the weed cloth. This is my first garden in Texas and I don't know if the weeds here are as prolific in other places and if it would be a mistake not to use weed cloth in my gardens.

    1. There is no cloth underneath the gravel. I don't have much of a problem in the front garden because I don't have many annual re-seeders in there but I do have a problem in the back with larkspur, blanket flowers, poppies. It means quite a bit of weeding. We couldn't put down a weed fabric where we have the pavers. In the decomposed granite areas we did put down some weed fabric but in the end the seeds grow and get their roots through the fabric. We are just laying a new granite path and plan to underlay with cardboard. This path we intend to keep clear of growth by using boiling water or vinegar. It isn't so much the weeds as the annuals! If only they would grow in the septic field.

  3. Thanks so much. In my previous garden in Colorado we had a bindweed infestation. It grew right into the fabric and when you tried to pull it, up would come chunks of fabric. It made gardening a nightmare and my neighbors couldn't understand why I wouldn't want to pour gasoline over the weeds in my natural garden :/ Our bad experience with the weeds and fabric cloth has left us scared to use it but we're also scared of not using it and ending up with tons of weeds in our hardscape lol.
