JULY 4TH ! WORK MUST GO ON

Happy July 4th to our American gardeners. Here we must take advantage of the early morning for gardening projects. Even on July 4th.

We brought home some left over bricks from our son's house remodel. I had a brain wave! Why not pave the greenhouse floor. Would you like to do that? What a player.

  1. Thank you, the floor looks like a worthy holiday project and our mornings have been slightly cooler than normal so pave away. We've been screening in part of the deck.

  2. I think I would be doing a greenhouse floor at night....but I suppose when inspiration strikes, you gotta go with it.
    Looks nice. Good idea!

    1. No pattern. Just how he managed to fit in the bricks on the second row. I'll pass on your kind remarks.

    1. Yes. We are ready to head off on our trip up to cooler climes and I couldn't see doing both. Let's hope I can make Portland. I know I would love to see your garden in person.

  7. You've uncovered the truth: hot weather gardening observes no holidays - cooler mornings must simply be taken advantage of no matter when they occur.

A brick floor for the greenhouse sounds just right. And it looks good too by golly (especially with the little holiday nod center stage). Carry on!

  8. We have a job just like this we've been putting off, and we're nowhere as hot as where you are. I'm inspired!

  9. wow! Love the floor so much.

Your man is not only crafty, but soooo handsome!

Was he a builder/architect type when he worked?

    Y'all are retired, right?
