Perhaps it is an invasive in a more congenial environment but it's not my experience. I transplanted some to a flower bed and will watch carefully for signs of invasion as it's only been there two years.Wooded Glenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08256269077808570398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-38583682956571432042008-08-25T03:06:00.000-07:002008-08-25T03:06:00.000-07:00Oh, I remember when I did the same thing with Miss...Oh, I remember when I did the same thing with Missouri primrose in my Wisconsin garden. It was small consolation that the primrose had spread densely enough to keep out the encroaching lawn. ;PLorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16233060833186241702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-66200948075159853042008-08-23T13:54:00.000-07:002008-08-23T13:54:00.000-07:00I am going to do my best to get it out. I'm sure that's about as easy as the pink primrose which I have also been working on for years.Rock rose https://www.blogger.com/profile/00348711150803587369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-33742541975837500132008-08-21T17:48:00.000-07:002008-08-21T17:48:00.000-07:00Oh - Evil St. John's Wort!! Once those runners get in the ground, you will never get them out.It DID have these pretty yellow flowers on it all summer though...Lee17https://www.blogger.com/profile/13585316725404778916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-37018789801158893972008-08-20T18:59:00.000-07:002008-08-20T18:59:00.000-07:00I had some Hypericum prolificum shrubs, I think th...I had some Hypericum prolificum shrubs, I think the variety was 'Sunburst' and they were very pretty. Bluish-green foliage, bright yellow flowers that turned a chocolate brown as the seeds formed. I loved them! But sadly they were attached by bagworms and died. Perhaps that's what you saw growing in St. Louis.

I have some of this 'noxious weed', too, but have contained it to one Carol Michelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796344366326535406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-41303858123391245242008-08-20T07:00:00.000-07:002008-08-20T07:00:00.000-07:00I might be inclined to like it better if it would ...I might be inclined to like it better if it would just flower. Can it be contained by planting it in a pot with the bottom cut out?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
