Too many things to replace this year. Feather grass is rather weedy here and maybe not tall enough for this spot. I am thinking either hesperaloe or loropetalum. I rather like the color of the leaves. I would have to find the low growing variety. The indian hawthorn looks like it would be the right size there so like the others suggested, maybe just trimming it up and hoping for the best (or replacing it with another). If bamboo muhly is too big (and I know it can get enormous), perhaps a little planting of Nasella tenuissima if it's not too weedy for your area??Dig, Grow, Compost, Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10111150807638669133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-63187808061744912632010-02-12T17:40:07.800-08:002010-02-12T17:40:07.800-08:00Yolanda- You are right this is Dietes. It isn't a water hog despite the name and has a lovely bloom. I like the mix of the purple leaves with green leaves. The ones in the shade don't bloom much, but I'm ok with that. They were fine through the drought and the freezes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636445408720805216.post-91369950490096884052010-02-08T15:08:45.649-08:002010-02-08T15:08:45.649-08:00I nominated you for a sunshine award!
