LOOK WHO JOINED US FOR BREAKFAST THIS MORNING

The four echinopsis flowers opened this morning. Why waste those exotic, one day blooms in a place where they cannot be admired.

They joined us at the breakfast table this morning.

Along with a little pollinator.

If I was to choose just one cactus it would be this one for its faithful annual blooms. It has boomed 4 times this year and I think there are two more blooms to come. They open during the night and close by lunch time, but they are oh so lovely.

  1. Beautiful! Before seeing the images I thought "how exactly do you pick a cactus flower?" but glad to see you didn't harvest -- just relocated. :)

  2. Mine is blooming again too! One yesterday and another opened this morning. So pretty. There is another bud that should open in a day or two and one maybe a week away. Mine has outgrown the pot and is in desperate need of repotting. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

  3. What lovely breakfast companions! Certainly a cheerful and bright addition to any table setting. Pollinators love the cactus blooms here of all varieties - they must taste as wonderful as they look.
