We woke up this morning to the most perfect September day. With all the rain and cloud we have had this last week it is a welcome sight and the garden is sure to come alive with new blooms. Canadian friends arrive at lunch time and we plan to go out to the Wildflower Center this afternoon. To get in the spirit of the day I picked a bouquet of native plants for their room. The Texas sunflower,
Helianthus praecox, mealy blue sage,
Salvia farinacea, Mexican bush sage,
Salvia leucantha and blanket flower,
Gaillardia pulchella.
How lucky that your visitors have missed the blast furnace heat.
ReplyDeleteAnd, that's a lovely bouquet for a guest room.
Oh, the bouquet is just beautiful. What a wonderful way to welcome friends and get in the spirit of the Wildflower center!
ReplyDeleteCan I come visit just so I can have that bouquet in my room? Lucky visitors, and a great way to show how nontraditional plants can make great arrangements.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangement. I hope you enjoyed your day!
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative, inside and out. What a joy to know you!
