While I'm on the subject of tomatoes here's the catch of the day. I'll bet they are the eggs and first instar of the stink bug or leaf footed bug. You can see on the egg case where they have opened the lid, about to make merry on my tomatoes. Now that's quite a catch.

ReplyDeleteI was greeted this morning in garden by the same little fellows. They were having a big party on my vines. I ran in got some soap and sprayed down my tomatoes. I have worked really hard this year on my tomatoes and I anin't a sharing.
ReplyDeleteJean- I certainly am happy. Imagine what damage they could be doing. Fortunately the leaf was turned slightly upwards so I could see them. Must do out and look for more because I am sure there are.

Greenlife- I picked off the leaf and gave them the glass jar with water treatment. I wonder if soap would work on these guys. I routinely go out and grab the adults. Not afraid of squishing them one bit.
