Yes, I know, most of the USA is shivering under abnormally low temperatures. I hope they are holed up somewhere warm dreaming of spring. When I was at the grocery store today I couldn't resist buying three 4" pots of primroses. Nothing heralds spring like these pretty little yellow flowers, even if it is a few months away.

How pretty, lovely and cheerful. It's interesting how the cold has completely missed us this winter. I keep thinking we will get hit eventually.
ReplyDeleteMy roses and other plants continue to bloom this year but I might just pick up some spring blooms too.
Those primroses are so bright, cheery and perfect for a dull winter day! I really like the glass plate beside it too.
ReplyDeleteI love primroses! They're like Easter eggs; I always want 3 of each color, even knowing they won't last here. Maybe I'll just do like you and put them in a basket for indoors and I can enjoy them longer - at least until the kitten sits in the big middle of the basket ... I was reading that the Farmer's Almanac says snow is possible for the 1st 2 weeks in February for north TX. Can that be true as warm as it is now? Poor gardens all budded out and then get zapped!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! These 70+ degree days definitely have me thinking of Spring.
ReplyDeleteI saw some at a grocery store this afternoon at 3/$10, a good price, but I resisted. They would have probably become coloful cat food anyway.
