I said those very same words a few years ago when he said we should remove the cross vine, Bignonia capreolata, from the greenhouse roof.
At the same time I am removing this vine from the gate I will be removing it from the greenhouse roof.
And from the Yaupon holly growing next to the gate. This is one big vine but it can be held in check.
So beautiful! It's a shame to have to chop it back, but sometimes it has to be done.
ReplyDeleteThat gate is glorious with the vine growing on it. I'd probably go in and out of the gate all of the time just to see it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vine. I also beg my husband to wait until the blooms end before cutting plants back. I have a few too many that hang over the sidewalk.

ReplyDeleteWow, yours is gorgeous! I have one planted on the trellis behind the now defunct pine tree but it looks nowhere near this good! I am hoping that it will be happier now that the pine tree is gone. We shall see.
