With the royal wedding less than a week away some of my plants are getting pretty excited. Those who can will be wearing tiaras.
Today they had a dress rehearsal.
They had lots of admirers. Little bees were rushing in to take a look. Wallowing in the pollen.
I don't want to tell them but I don't think anyone will be wearing tiaras at the wedding. In fact they may even have been told to leave hats at home. Aghast! A British wedding where the ladies don't wear hats!!! I don't think so.
Definitely fit for a royal wedding. They will have the best looking headwear there ... absolutely magnificent flowers!
ReplyDeleteHa ha Love it!!! Totally look like tiaras. How appropriate!

WOWZERS!!! These ladies are dressed for a royal function! They are sheer lovliness!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful cactus ! What a surprise !
ReplyDeletevery cute...very creative! It is so perfect it seems as if it were planned...great photos.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there were cactus that produced *so many* flowers! Amazing, and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDo you know the species, and how old they are? I'm also curious about their size, as it's difficult to judge from the photos.
:-)
Alan-Afraid I don't know their names as I bought a grouping of them one year in Arizona. I repotted them and they have performed every summer. The larger one is about 6" tall. They overwinter in the pottingshed. Heaven only knows why they stick those dried strawflowers in them at the store. I guess because most people won't buy anything that is not in flower!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Love your sense of humor, Jenny.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I've never seen cactus blooms like that before. Love them :-)
ReplyDeleteHilarious, Jenny! And those tiaras won't come loose when it's time to curtsey ;-]

They DO look just like tiaras!! I was in Ireland when Charles and Diana were married. What a wonderful memory. Everyone was simply hysterical. On the day of the wedding, the tellies were roaring in every pub (and the beers were flowing, of course). I love these cactus, wish I got more sun in my yard. Kinda.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots and cactus. I used to have one of these but winter got it! Darn!
