Swallowtails, monarchs and red admirals. They love the tall blooming spikes of Verbena bonariensis.

Lovely - the red admirals have been in my yard going crazy over the neighbor's red tip photinia blooms.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm looking for plants to add to my butterfly garden. This looks like a good plant.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I'm looking forward to seeing the other species that visit your yard this summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...one of my absolute favorite plants...love how it just pops up in the strangest places.
ReplyDeleteWe've had more butterflies here this year, too.
ReplyDeleteYou got some beautiful shots.
I love them too!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying them for the first time this year. Hope mine turn out even half as beautiful as yours.
Lovely photos! (I'm jonesing for a telephone lens - and a camera to put one on . . . )
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that particular swallowtail with the orange and blue around my place. That's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have all those visitors! I haven't seen that particular verbena, but I have several other types and the butterflies seem to like them all!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely garden, and the pictures are excellent.
