When a cold front arrives it changes everything. It turned a drizzly morning into a clear, much cooler windy day. But oh that wind. It knocked over chairs, blew over plants and bowed my Felicia rose down to the ground. There was nothing for it but to bring the flowers into the house. Ah! the sweet smell of Felicia.

Fall is so nice; the second spring when we can bring in our roses again :)
ReplyDeleteA pretty and nice way to enjoy them. It was very windy today, almost like winter or early spring.
ReplyDeleteThose roses are breathtaking, especially en masse. Too bad our computers won't allow us to share the fragrance.
ReplyDeleteWe have several large potted hibiscus in the back and the wind knocked them over a couple of times each. Leaves were whirling everywhere as well. A VERY blustery day. I'm happy for the cooler weather but I can do without the bluster.
I love a vase of roses! I imagine they smelled lovely : )
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself "no new roses!", but I may have to make an exception for Felicia. I've missed her fragrance in my garden!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as bad as our "devil wind"! I'm glad you could give the roses shelter from the storm (not to steal words from Bob Dylan's mouth).
